Featured City: San Jose

With a population of almost a million, San Jose is the 10th largest city in the United States.

According to the 2010 census, San Jose's Asian population of 303,138 was higher in both percentage and numbers than San Francisco's.

39.0% of the population are foreign-born. These include many high-tech workers from East and South Asia, Eastern European immigrants, as well as poorer immigrants from Latin America.

A 2009 study claimed that the largest groups are Asian, including: Indian, 100,757; Chinese, 140,628; Filipino, 84,934; Japanese, 27,092; Korean, 26,471; and Vietnamese, 114,918.
