Event Location: Calvary Baptist in Lafayette

Our culture is driving a storytelling revival. It's animated and 3-D.

Yet Christ-followers are stuck in a literate perspective. Thankfully, through Bible Storying, it is possible to bring the Bible to life! In the Bible, it says that Jesus did not speak without using a parable. Are you willing to ask if Bible Storying is more effective in making disciples? We are not theorizing that Bible Storying will work. We know that it works. Bible Storying is being used of God to make disciples in churches, colleges, prisons, and in the workplace. "Storying in a Day" will give you the basics to be comfortable storying and making disciples as never before in your own setting.

Tsunami Student Conference (2010)
December 27-29, 2010

Long Beach Convention Center

Tsunami is a three-day, high-energy conference for students ages 12-18. Held each year between Christmas and New Year's, Tsunami combines worship, concerts and top-level youth communicators in student-focused main sessions and uses the finest youth workers from California churches to lead dozens of small group seminars for students and adult sponsors. Tsunami also provides opportunities for students to be involved through ministry projects, choirs, testimonies, and interaction with staff, leaders and other students

The theme for Tsunami 2010 is Love Does. Based on 1 John 3:18, students will learn about how Christ's love, in action through us, can make a real difference in individual's lives and in the world at large. Student will also have the opportunity to put love into action both at the conference and in the months to follow.
